1. Our commitment
Every email sent through betterjobs should be something a professional is glad to receive: a real role, relevant to their work, from a real person, easy to decline. That protects candidates, our customers and the mailboxes everyone shares.
2. What you must do
- Advertise real, open roles with accurate details about the employer, pay and conditions.
- Send from your real name and a real company, with honest subject lines.
- Contact people only where the role is relevant to their professional experience.
- Stop contacting anyone who asks, and never contact them again through betterjobs.
- Follow the laws that apply to you and to the candidate, including CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, UK GDPR and local employment and anti-discrimination law.
3. What is not allowed
- Fake, misleading or bait-and-switch job offers, or roles that do not exist.
- Schemes that charge candidates, such as paid training, "processing fees" or pyramid and multi-level marketing recruitment.
- Selling products or services to candidates, or any outreach that is not about hiring.
- Targeting or excluding people based on protected characteristics such as race, religion, gender, age, disability or sexual orientation.
- Collecting sensitive data from candidates, harassment, threats or impersonating another person or company.
- Phishing, malware, deceptive links or anything unlawful.
- Importing purchased or scraped lists from outside betterjobs, or exporting candidate data out of it.
- Trying to get around sending limits, filters, opt-outs or our deliverability protections.
- Opening multiple accounts to abuse the free trial.
4. Opt-outs
When a candidate replies asking not to be contacted, their sequence stops. You must not contact them again through betterjobs or by importing them elsewhere. Candidates can also ask us directly at support@mailscale.ai to be removed from all betterjobs outreach.
5. Enforcement
We monitor for abuse, for example unusual complaint or bounce rates. If we find a breach we may pause campaigns, limit sending, suspend or close the account without notice and without refund, and report illegal activity to the authorities.
6. Reporting abuse
If you received an email sent through betterjobs that breaks this policy, forward it to support@mailscale.ai and we will investigate.
